Celebrating Chinese New Year

Did you know the Chinese Dragon is a symbol of Chinese culture and the longer the dragon is, the more luck it will bring to the community? The International Club at the middle school celebrated Chinese New Year by eating traditional food, such as dumplings and noodles - but don’t cut them, it’s bad luck! Matthew D’Ippolito, Andrew Fasone and Joey Gherardi showed a video and presentation about Chinese New Year traditions. Giving red envelopes is a custom at Chinese New Year and each member received an envelope where they wrote a message to give to a family member/friend.
