In the spirit of gratitude and community, the district once again came together to support the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive benefiting St. Luke’s Food Pantry in Somers, NY.

Students, staff, and families from across the district contributed an impressive collection of nonperishable food items, helping ensure that local families can enjoy a warm and full Thanksgiving meal.

The success of the drive was made possible by the coordinated efforts of many dedicated individuals. SHS school social worker Kristen Rigaglia and SCSD Director of Facilities Chris McCartney played key roles in organizing the collection and delivery of donations. Their leadership helped streamline the process and inspire participation throughout the district.

The district also extends heartfelt appreciation to the custodial and maintenance team, whose behind-the-scenes work ensured that donations were sorted, transported, and handled with care. Their contributions were vital to the smooth and efficient operation of the drive.

This year’s effort reflects the district’s ongoing commitment to service and community support. Through collective generosity and collaboration, the Somers CSD continues to make a meaningful impact on families in need during the holiday season.
