Healthy Tuskers Have a “Can Do” Attitude

Healthy Tuskers Have a “Can Do” Attitude

Who does hard things? Our Primrose students do! Every day, these children tackle challenging tasks: homework, bike riding, reading, adding and subtracting! There’s nothing these students can’t do!

During a Red Ribbon Week assembly, presenters Scott and Beth reminded the children that though there may be things that they can’t do yet, they will improve with practice and a growth mindset. As the week continued, students wore red on Tuesday for Red Ribbon Week and were treated to encouraging red bracelets from the PTA and a healthy apple from Stuart’s Farm to remind them to make healthy choices.

Finally, the staff members took out a book we have loved for years: I Can Do Hard Things by Gabi Garcia and Charity Russell. In this book, readers reflect on all the hard things one tackles in life. They are also introduced to affirmations that boost confidence and can help calm nerves. With everything going on in our lives, this may be something adult readers could use as well! We can ALL do hard things.
