Four Somers High School Seniors Named Commended Students

Congratulations to the four Somers High School students who were named Commended Students in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program: Leeanna Arroyo-Valentin, Aiden DiSiena, Jimmy Gallivan and Jason Sun.

Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2026 competition by taking the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).

A Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMS®), which conducts the program, was presented by Mr. Rodrigues to these scholastically talented seniors this week.

We are so proud of these students who were rightfully recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Congratulations again to Leeanna, Aiden, Jimmy and Jason!
