In the spirit of gratitude and community, the district once again came together to support the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive benefiting St. Luke’s Food Pantry in Somers, NY.

In celebration of Italian-American Heritage Month, throughout the month of October the Somers Central School District learned about and celebrated different aspects of Italian culture like art, food and music

As part of their class curriculum, SIS 5th graders have been exploring the culture and traditions of the Nez Perce Native American Tribe. To bring it to life, students attended an engaging assembly with JR Spencer, a Nez Perce storyteller, flute player, and native crafter. JR shared meaningful stories that have been passed down through generations, offering students a deeper understanding of the tribe’s history and heritage.

Who does hard things? Our Primrose students do! Every day, these children tackle challenging tasks: homework, bike riding, reading, adding and subtracting! There’s nothing these students can’t do!
