Welcome to Mrs. Gardineer'sKindergarten Class!
Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Welcome! Your child’s year in kindergarten is about to begin! I am delighted to be your child’s teacher this year. I am eager to get to know some of you for the first time and welcome back a few “alumni families”. I look forward to working with all of you to make this a wonderful year for your child.
Mrs. Sherri Donovan is my teaching assistant and will be a very important person in your child’s day at school. She will assist me in the classroom and will accompany the children to lunch and recess, as well.
I have also posted a letter from me to your child (if you wish to print) to make it more personal. It is an invitation to visit us in the classroom on Tuesday, August 28th between 9:00-10:00 am. We hope you will stop by so your child can meet us, explore the classroom, and “take a peek” at the playground. This opportunity may help your child feel more comfortable on the first day of school, when so much is unfamiliar. We look forward to seeing you and answering any questions you may have.
In preparation for our first days, we are asking for a few items in addition to the general kindergarten supplies. If possible, please bring in all supplies when you visit on the 28th.
- 1 additional bottom loading folder (labeled with name)
- 1 additional box of Crayola markers
- 6 additional glue sticks
- 1 small sock (to be used as an eraser)
Thank you in advance for your support and participation. I look forward to seeing you on August 28th and to a wonderful kindergarten year!
Jennifer Gardineer ☺
Student Welcome Letter:
Welcome to Kindergarten at Primrose School! My name is Mrs. Gardineer and I am going to be your teacher this year. I am very excited to meet you and am already planning activities for our first days together.
Mrs. Donovan will be your teacher, too. We are looking forward to meeting you and hope you can visit us in Room K2 on Tuesday, August 28th. We will be there from 9:00-10:00 in the morning. Of course, your Mom and Dad are invited, too.
Our first day of school together will be on Wednesday, September 5th! We will have a half day of school. If you’d like, you may bring a favorite stuffed animal with you on that day. I’ll bring one too!
I hope you are having a fun summer.
Your new friend,
