Welcome to our Third Grade Website!

It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I welcome you and your child to my third grade classroom. I am looking forward to an exciting and rewarding year. I have spent a great deal of time, previous years and this summer, in planning a classroom environment that will be respectful, enjoyable and challenging.

I am writing to ask you to help me become partners in your child’s education. I will only have your child for a short time in this trip through life, just one fleeting school year, and I want to make a contribution that lasts a lifetime.

You can also download the third grade supply list.  I have the list on this website - look for third grade supply link.  If you have any difficulty finding any of the materials, please let me know so I can be of assistance. Please understand that some of these these supplies will be collected and be used as community property. As a result, please do not place your child’s name on his or her supplies. The children will keep their own storage box and scissors - so your child can write his or her name on these items.

We will be having a snack time every day (even half days). Please send in a healthy snack with your child.

Thank you for helping your child get off to a successful start! I am looking forward to working with you and your child. Please feel free to stop by on August 25th from 10:00 – 11:00 pm. I will be in our classroom and would love to meet you!

Be sure to click on the First Day assignment link.  There are 2 assignments due the first day of school.  It has to do with organization and decoration.  Go to "First Day Assignments" on the website.  Then change the month and year to September 2016 and the 2 assignments should pop-up.

Our class is deemed a NUT-FREE classroom.  If you click on the Peanut-Tree nut allergy letter link it will tell you all about it.
