You must first complete an application to receive an absentee ballot. You may mail in your application to the address on the application, or you may bring it in to the district clerk's office at Somers Middle School, 250 Route 202, Somers, NY 10589. APPLICATIONS MAY NOT BE SUBMITTED BEFORE APRIL 22, 2024.
Once the absentee ballot application is received by the district clerk, a ballot will be mailed to the address specified on the application, after the voter is verified by the district clerk as a registered voter. If application is brought into the district clerk's office, a ballot will be handed to the registered voter directly or the person authorized. A ballot may not be given to anyone other than to the voter or the person authorized by the voter to pick up the ballot on his/her behalf.
The last day an absentee ballot may be mailed to a registered voter is Tuesday, May 14th - Absentee ballot applications must be received on or before this date (May 14th) in order for ballot to be mailed. However, registered voters may personally come into the district clerk's office for an absentee ballot up until 4 p.m. Monday, May 21st.
If you are on the Permanently Sick & Disabled List with the Westchester County Board of Elections, you will automatically receive an absentee ballot.

Primero debe llenar una solicitud para recibir un voto en ausencia. Una vez que el/la secretario/a de distrito reciba la solicitud de voto en ausencia, se enviará la boleta por correo al domicilio especificado en la solicitud, después de que el/la votante sea verificado/a por la secretaria de distrito como votante registrado/a. Si la solicitud se lleva a la oficina de la secretaria de distrito, se entregará la boleta directamente a el/la votante registrado/a o el/la persona autorizada. La boleta no se puede dar a nadie más que al votante o la persona autorizada por el votante para recoger la boleta en su nombre.
El último día en que se puede enviar un voto en ausencia por correo a un/a votante registrado/a es el martes 14 de mayo - las solicitudes de voto en ausencia deben ser recibidas en o antes de esta fecha (14 de mayo) para que se envíe la boleta por correo. Sin embargo, los votantes registrados pueden venir personalmente hasta el lunes 21 de mayo a las 4 de la tarde, a la oficina de la secretaria de distrito, para recoger una boleta de voto en ausencia.
Si está en la Lista de personas permanentemente enfermas y discapacitadas de la Junta electoral del condado de Westchester, recibirá automáticamente una boleta de voto en ausencia.
