    What is LIBRARY MEDIA?

    The Somers Intermediate School Media Center is a learning space where children work with our library media specialist to expand their capacity to learn. Through the examination of their classroom curriculum, students expand their ability to develop probing questions, identify and evaluate resources, and represent new knowledge in innovative ways.
     
     
    Mission Statement
    The Somers Intermediate School Library Media Center will ignite a passion by engaging all students at a personal level to be life-long learners and productive global citizens that actively seek information. Through instruction of information literacy and research, students will be critical thinkers, analyzers, assessors, and evaluators of literature and information in a variety of formats.
