Mathematically Minded
"A child's belief in their mathematical abilities starts early. I have had 1st graders tell me they are not good at math! What's more troubling is that children's belief in their math abilities tends to get weaker and weaker as they go up in grade levels. This is a problem that the math education community is tirelessly trying to rectify. Here at Mathematically Minded, we focus on early intervention. If we start children off early seeing how mathematics connects to their lives and seeing how concepts within mathematics are connected to each other they are successful with math and their mathematical power can only grow and grow. As children have fun with math they see that they are mathematically minded and thus believe in themselves as mathematicians."
