COMMUNITY PULSE COALITION
Board of Ed liaison: Nick Mancini
The following letter was sent to key communicators in the Somers community. This group which consists of several parents and community members meets 3-4 times per year.
September 14, 2018
You have been identified as a key communicator with a finger on the pulse of our Somers community. As someone who has demonstrated a sincere commitment to further improvement, I would like to invite you to be a member of the new Superintendent’s Community Pulse Coalition. Our first meeting will be on October 10, 2018.
Productive, two-way communication is key to the success of any organization, especially a school district. It is vital that our Somers community know and understand what is happening in the school district, and for me, as Superintendent, to hear directly from active community members like you about local discussions, concerns and ideas.
The Superintendent’s Community Pulse Coalition is a network of influencers who establish informed, two-way communication between the district and the public. They are leaders in their organizations, neighborhoods and groups, to whom people turn for reliable, accurate, current information. As a Community Pulse Coalition member, you will hear directly from me about challenges, accomplishments and initiatives within the district. Likewise, I will rely on you to share with me issues, concerns and feedback you are hearing from your local circles. The goal is to establish an open, straightforward conversation that reaches as many members of our community as possible.
The Superintendent’s Community Pulse Coalition will meet three to four times during the school year, and information will be emailed to members as circumstances warrant. I will also encourage members to reach out to me directly with issues that arise.
I hope you will attend our first meeting on October 10th at 8 a.m. at Somers Middle School, room 246. Please R.S.V.P. by October 5th to Nancy Corrado at email@example.com or call 914-277-2400.
Dr. Raymond H. Blanch
