  • A Novel Idea

Somers Middle School eighth graders wrote nearly 2.5 MILLION WORDS in the month of November during National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). They have told stories including those of broken friendships, chimpanzee families, a dystopian Somers and lacrosse champions. In December, they celebrated their hard work with a showcase in the library featuring revised excerpts from their novels. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to read the students’ incredible work. A special shout-out to SMS Library Media Specialist Joe Benedetto for helping make the day such a success.
